A special venue, rooms are basic but clean and the bathrooms are modern. Excellent place to stay for a special occasion
I was here on a work event, it's a great place, has a really beautiful architecture.
The staff is amazing, very nice, welcoming and helpful. The location is beautiful, lot of nice places to walk around, surrounded by nature, right next to a pretty village and the golf course. The bunk bed didn't have a ladder but it was easy to climb in. Only one outlet for a 4p room so bring a multi socket.
Beautiful well kept grounds, with various birds roaming freely
I went to this accommodation as part of a school trip and it was wonderful. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were quite nice. The castle is huge with lots of small nooks and crannies to explore, perfect for a fun game of hide and seek. The food was pretty tasty and although some rooms were freezing most were pretty warm. When going to this wonderful castle don’t forget to pet the cat!
Here are some of my observations from staying here during a conference:
- no WiFi in the rooms
- no soap in the rooms (really!)
- catering was fine. The breakfast is a bit sparse for vegans.
- nice old style and architecture
- beautiful garden
How cool that the building that is built behind the castle used the 14th century bricks from the city wall from Venlo , that unfortunately needed to be demolished for the current Maasboulevard. But it also shows that bricks are timeless and even 675 year old bricks can be re-used. Fantastic ☺️
Was there for Furry Weekend Holland! Great event! Great food! Would love to go again next year!
